Can I connect to multiple SharePoint Servers?

Answer

Yes, by adding multiple logins, you can connect to as many servers as you want.

Which rights must a SharePoint Portal User have specified for the Login?

Answer

The User must be an administrator in SharePoint, since we request administrative information during the composition of List and Media Connections. The access level could be reduced to “Contributor” after the configuration has been performed.

When are documents and images staged from SharePoint to Sitecore?

Answer

Staging is performed either as a Sitecore Scheduled Task or manually through the SharePoint Connector administration tool. Please note that URL for images and documents first will be changed when an image or file for the current content Item has been staged. In other words, the URL will remain a SharePoint URL until staging has been run the first time for the given media connection.

Can I have multiple List connections pointing to the same list in SharePoint?

Answer

No, you cannot. We reuse the GUIDs from SharePoint in Sitecore. This would consequently result in multiple Items with the same ID, which is not allowed in Sitecore.
